Bronwyn Bridges - Navigating New Frontiers in Med-tech for Parkinson's Care
In today’s episode, we welcome back Bronwyn Bridges, co-founder & CEO of PragmaClin, a company focused on assessing and monitoring neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s. She shares her experiences from becoming a Ph.D. student in pharmacy at Memorial University of Newfoundland to pivoting her research and commercializing her work with Co-founder and COO, Gord Genge, an entrepreneur who has Parkinson’s. PragmaClin’s PRIMS software runs tests on a patient, using cameras to monitor motor and non-motor skills remotely. Their company, a recent Volta Cohort winner, is making a difference in patients' lives with movement disorders. Since March, the company has acquired wins totaling $125,000 which includes the $25,000 top prize won at the Mel Woodward Cup – a competition for startups connected to Memorial University.
